What is this, cancer day in the OT? Smoking, Sunbathing. Yeesh. Any asbestos in the basement of the HOTD?
OK — on sunblock — make sure you not only use a decent spf, but also make sure it is wide band UVA/UVB protection. And yes, morning and evening at the beach, stay away midday. And, per DIBS advice get a regular full body check up from a dermatologist — make sure the doc is being really thorough, measuring moles and filling out a diagram to track mole size and location over time, etc. and not just doing a quick, lazy once over. You want to catch new moles and growing moles and having a good historical record helps.
And as for those fancy French cigs, they are necessary for great art, to wit:
When Paul Cezanne sat down to paint a flower or a face
He had to solve the problem of three-dimensional space
He said, “Form is content.” He smoked a Gitane.
He was right. Now he’s Paul Cezanne

Ha Benson!! I just did
I wonder why 11217 is picking on me – he never does – we are always friendly
oh wel!
also question to the board:
is it me or are people becoming less discerning?
I read Yelp a lot to get a good gauge on eateries – also I hit brownstoner for it’s restaurant reviews and um…
I went to Roots CAfe on 5th and 18th and was confused as to why it got so many great reviews
for one the place is decorated like someone’s 70’s basement with crap all over and huge overstuffed couches and lights and signs everywhere – ok I can get past that!
Two – I ordered a coffee which was fine b/c it was stumptown
but the menu is written in that pack to the gills sorta feel with too much color and scribble and script vs. print that I could hardly make heads or tails of anything to order
Third – as far as I could tell or not tell – where we they hiding the goodies? I mean the counter is jam packed with flyers and crap that it was confusing to see what they sold
IDK – I just wasn’t into it
Cgar – South slope/Greenwood Hts off 6th avenue a new condo
it’s smaller than what we were looking for but it was in our price range and parking was thrown in and transfer tax as well!
Thanks Cgar – am figuring you are still looking for the right place or did you decide to take a break?
anyone watch that HGTV show – “Selling NYC” some of those apts are ridiculously grand and over the top and $$
g10, 11217 is experiencing lack of suitable opponents and is less selective on whom he pounces on. I can relate cause I feel like that sometimes too.
