I think that’s really true. I’ve only bought two homes in my lifetime, but both times, I knew almost immediately that this was the right place. Interestingly enough, in both cases, I was initially outbid, but the property later came back on the market (in one case, the initial bidder’s financing fell through; in the other, the planned relocation to NYC did not occur), the broker knew I was a serious buyer and let me know right away … and the rest is history.
tybur, there’s a French place with a good brunch right near that big yard restaurant that always is packed…I think it’s a Mexican place? I’ll google it. Not good for big groups though.
Where can I go for early dinner/really late lunch in the vicinity of Fulton and Washington? Anything that opens before 4:30? Child-friendly? With more tables than Michael Allen or Just Taste It?
Autour du Monde, Speakeasy, and Cornelius all open too late. I need somewhere that’s open at like 3PM.
Thoughts? Anything closer than Soda or General Greene?
G10, a little of both. As Potter Stewart said about porn, I’ll know it when I see it. I’m finding a real dearth of inventory in Brooklyn Heights-Cobble Hill-Carroll Gardens, where I’m mostly looking. And, while I’m holding out for outdoor space, I’m not sure I want to buy another house. I even love 1BBP, but I don’t think I can afford the units with outdoor space. So, for now, I call myself Hamlet of Brooklyn.

“Hey, can I poke head in and ask quick question?”
Must chug a beer before you leave. House rules.

DCB, this site has a pretty broad base hate (& love)

Things that I am for that many on this site apparently hate:
1. Unions
2. Cyclists
3. American Indians (New addition today)
I just posted something goofy on the bike thread. I got your back, ET, my sister in cyclistocide.
