Or a video game parlor in Chinatown?
    (from the Times) (cheap date)
Accidentally throw your Wii wand at the television screen? The Chinatown Fair Video Arcade offers an excellent substitute for gamers, with the best of classics like Street Fighter and Dance Dance Revolution. Open every day, noon to midnight, with prices from 25 cents to $1.50, this arcade is one of the most economical options for getting your game on in the city. (8 Mott Street, at Chatham Square; 212-964-1542.)

  2. “Actually not a bad idea at all (except it doesn’t have the active / athletic quality I was thinking of…). ”

The active / athletic portion of the date happens once you get home after visiting the Museum of Sex!

  3. “Lech, how about a trip to the Museum of Sex and then drinks/food at 230 Fifth?”

Actually not a bad idea at all (except it doesn’t have the active / athletic quality I was thinking of…). We went to the museum of sex in Paris not too long ago. It’s on that street with the moulin rouge… can’t remember the name.

  4. Hmmmmm some very good suggestions coming in.

Arkady, she has asked me to just come up with a plan, and she likes to be surprised. I’m pretty sure she would dig Coney Island. Pool and bowling can also be worked into the mix. Like the brooklyn bowl idea, DH. Only thing I don’t think she would be into is going to NJ (she has a very strong aversion to NJ).

  5. ” Does anyone else have any ideas that I can rip off and pass off as my own? ”

Brooklyn Bowl is my new favorite stomping grounds. 100/hr bowling, Blue Ribbon BBQ restaurant, full bar, and live music. All at once. Quite the sensory overload
