complaints about the parade:
1.) super short
2.) no pyrotechnics
3.) never saw so many people hit with ugly stick and proud of it as i did in the parade.
4.) no elephants 🙁 for some reason i thought they would have marching circus elephants.
5.) marty markowitz preening from a float :-/
i like the old school cars and the dykes on bikes.
Lech, I’ve been saying football inadvertently a few times already – as I yip yapped with co-workers from Ireland. does that warrant a lech kick to the jewels?
one year I had a party at the aquarium in coney island,
it was really nice.
they had an educational portion behind the scenes.
the kids got to feed the fish in some gian tank and afterwards everyone got to see the seal show.
there’s a discount if you are a member of the wildlife society (bronx zoo/prospect zoo/aquarium/queens zoo).

oh great, just what we need – another gay gay-basher in the OT.
oh get over yourself, i am not a gay basher. calling gays out on their detestable behaviors and morals is totally different than gay bashing. yeah i went the parade 11217. i mean why not, it was right outside. it didnt seem as trashy as the manhattan one is.
I was in PS most of the day on Saturday & never noticed the gay pride march. Stayed close to my place early & then was in Manhattan in the evening so maybe that explains it.
I do parties for my niece’s kids – lots of organized, old-fashioned games: saves a bundle & the kids love them. Bday boy gets to choose his theme & games are tailored to that. Since party-goers are usually school mates, even 3 & 4 year olds play well together – are accustomed to taking turns, etc. We start drop-off at 4 years & print end-time clearly on the invitations. Not one has overstayed in 12 years (but maybe that’s the diff between Bklyn & NJ!)

GOTD anyone? Anyone?
Etson,
It didn’t even start till around 7:30/8pm ish.
It’s supposedly the only “night parade” in the Northeast.
5th Avenue was so packed on Saturday night it was nuts.
