GB, in my experience driving U-Hauls into the City (a site to behold, let me tell you), we always had to follow truck routes.

I have family coming up here for a couple of weeks so not back until second or third week of July. Then will be back most weekends. I may need your help re contractors, as the place does need some work (although CGar has been v.helpful in giving me some names already).
Saw your post re Sycamore last week. Let’s sort out a time to go there when I am back as well.
Kens – Ask Budget – I know they have a flyer for U-Haul regulations & would assume they do for box vans. My guess is that it would be treated as comm’l.
Yes, Kens, there are truck routes. I know you can’t be on the FDR but not sure what else. 🙁

Semi-stupid question….I have to drive a 16 foot Budget truck from North Carolina to Roosevelt Island in a couple of weeks. I am pretty much taking 95 all the way to NYC but once I reach here, do I only have to take Truck routes? Does anyone know if there is a directions site like Mapquest but only for truck routes?
