NYC is basketball town. we just missing a star. I love basketball. best team sport is football
M4L, I was a total Knicks freak in the Pat Riley era. Then I got so sick of them losing. Also I hated Isiah Thomas after that era. I love basketball too. (You are a real sports fan M4L!!!!)
American football is a war game. It is a game of strategy and force, enclosed and highly defined in time and space. Baseball is a poetic game, infinite space, and time isn’t defined. It is lyrical and dreamy, mixed with a different kind of athleticism. Basketball is a dance of stategy. American football doesn’t appeal to me. I love baseball and basketball. And soccer, I dig the pure athleticism. But out of everything, baseball is best.
I have never gotten excited about American football but understand why it appeals to the American mindset. It’s a game about power. That doesn’t make it a lesser sport even though there are lots of people who will go off the deep end about how awful American football is.
I enjoy baseball although I don’t watch it on TV and only occasionally go to games. Coney Island Cyclones are my favorite New York team (actually not my favorite team – more that their stadium is my favorite place to watch baseball).

Ciao, PS! Come back soon!

So more, like, in theory? At least soccer ends 1-0 after a guaranteed 100 minutes or so instead of after 3 hours plus.
I can only watch baseball anymore during the playoffs, and only after the third hour, when it’s in the bottom of the 6th or something.
The limerick thing has been fun
But I think that I am also done
So I bid you adieu
Some work I must do
Before a weekend in the sun

Bye, all!
