  1. “DH, only if Charles Smith was able to put in that layup in his 3-4 tries, think that team was good enough to win the trophy that year”

Oh god, I had successfully blocked that from my memory. that was PAINFUL!!

Shit – remember the battles Oakley and Horace Grant would have?

  2. Yeah – I agree. Starks was electric (remember “The Dunk” over the entire Chicago Bulls team?) – and Oakley was one of those great role players every team needs to win (wish he sunk his freethrows though, how many big games against Jordan did we lose bc of that)

I MISS the old Knicks. Even the teams with Allan Houston and Latrell Sprewell were fun to watch.

I never really like Ewing though.

bet a lot of you are closeted TGRA fans….Texas Gay Rodeo Asociation, or at least PBR fans.

I never saw them but went to the big Rodeo in Kansas City. I tried to have a good time and did. I decided then and there that if ever I did a career change it was going to be as a rodeo girl, hanging off the side of a horse dressed in gold lame. I am not so sure how that would work out for me now. (Probably missed that window of opportunity.)

  4. “Cobble, are you sure it wasn’t the wine & cheese that makes you sleepy (ie you do remember you had that during the 1st 3 innings)?”

M4L, Very funny! No, I’m serious, something about the announcers talking just puts me right to sleep. I actually like watching baseball, but on a hot summer afternoon, if I’m the slightest bit tired, watching/listening to a game puts me to sleep. A very nice sleep, I might add!

  5. DH, I like Mason too but Oakley and Starks were more “lunch pail” players who left everything on the court every night that I love. Many people like to fault Starks for his terrible game 7 in finals against Rockets but I beg those critics go watch that game again and tell me what is he suppose to do when Ewing was gutless in NOT asking for the ball in the paint (& instead was setting screens/picks for Starks to shoot).
