Lechecal, great pix. Reminded me of my old home upstate, except people up there have less facial hair. About the same number of black folks too (I saw 2), except we didn’t have a resident black drag queen. My father would have looked horrible in a dress.
My friends in the film industry are up in arms at Christie for ending the film industry incentives.
The idea was that the subsidies created way more revunue than they cost by creating jobs and business activity. Last year NJ was a huge film center, this year – nothing. Doesn’t seem like it makes sense to end a successful program when NJ is broke.
That’s great, Lechecal. Everyone looks like they are having a great time (by the way, I am coveting the cow print ladies shift dress one of the paraders was wearing).
Coongrats, etson! You are now one of us, at least part time. I think Cobble may have the “Welcome to Brooklyn” edition of the rules and regulations. You are required to have a PLUSA open house party, that one is on page 4, in bold letters.
etson – Welcome to the ‘hood!
I knock Target – because their prices are high for things that you can get elsewhere – batteries, for instance, or light bulbs are cheaper at Home Depot, Lowe’s & CostCo. Foodstuffs, detergents, etc. are cheaper at Key & Pathmark. I don’t buy clothes so can’t remark on those.
Sorry, were I not so miffed about the Pier 6 comments, I would’ve posted a PSA to warn you all that there’s been yet another (pasty) British invasion of Brooklyn. Hide your women and your booze!

My main problem with the Target in the Atlantic Terminal is that it often runs out of stock on items that are on sale.
Etson, not sure if the following is changed now but that Atlantic Target location is the #2 highest grossing location for Target

Etson, welcome back to Brooklyn!!
etson, people poopoo atlantic center mall because there are no stores that sell 45 dollar hot dogs and 15 dollar ice scoops.
