Oh and another thing about the “game”, it is a solitary thing, like painting a picture in your mind, not something where you sit and gossip and be a bitch. Totally, totally, not it at all. Though people do that, I guess. I have no interest in that at all.

“If you don’t have anything nice to say, come sit next to me.”

  2. donatella, they are also more commonly referred to as “rice,” while Caucasians are referred to as “potatoes.”

Latinos are referred to as “beans.” It’s not considered racist or derogatory in the gay world, just descriptive.

Think “rice queen,” “bean queen,” potato queen” and of course, “sticky rice.”

  3. “cobble, are you too above using a granny cart?”

Rob, No, I am not ‘above’ using a shopping cart. I OWN ONE. It just ended up that the stuff I was carrying was heavier/bulkier than I anticipated, and I had the earlier appt. so bringing the cart wasn’t really convenient.

Now: Get off my back today!

  4. “I have no doubt in my mind that you are constructive in your analysis. However, wouldn’t you agree that some women can be vicious and catty when analyzing another woman’s “togetherness”.”

Don’t go there Benson – i got called names here last time i pointed that out!!

  5. “No no, ENY, you’ve got it wrong. It really isn’t like that. It’s not a catty thing at all, in fact the other way. It’s a game in your mind in which you are trying to make the other person as attractive as possible and in the process it is analyzing thing, like color, shape, fashion. It’s about seeing potential. And in doing that, you are analyzing things for yourself too, to think about what is beautiful and then that helps you make yourself look better.”

Mmmmm…no. You had me for about a second. But then, I’m 47 and have been married twice. I respectfully don’t believe you.

    But it’s OK. You’re a girl. You’re allowed!
