Dona, I’ve been there many times. It’s a stop on my tour that I give to visitors.
Last time I was there, was last fall.
Will have to check it out again now.
That is so great, that you take people there. Nobody seems to know about this place – and it is amazing. They have fabulous ceramics and everything was jumbled all over the place – ceramics, paintings, it was a mess, the skylights leaked… really bad when you have paintings by Goya, el Greco, Velasquez… Now it is fixed and looks great.
My other small museum favorite — Isamu Noguchi museum near Astoria.
Dinatella….That’s what they are all like near me. I just get it here in mnahattan after work and bring it home or my bf gets it in Chinatown on the way home.
“I looked in the Albermarle reno thread, where ET directed us (clearly my first mistake was to listen to ET), and couldn’t figure out wtf she’s talking about.”
Read the thread, it’s there in black and white!!!
um, who’s the idiot?!?!?
Thanks, M4L, I never went to a Chinese restaurant in Sunset Park, but I thought that there would probably be a lot of good choices. So, I’ll try Pacificana…
DIBS, the only Chinese right around me is some pretty bad stuff you can buy from behind bulletproof plexiglass. I think my car has spoiled me – I can hop in the car over the Manhattan bridge and in 10 minutes, you’re in Chinatown.
Rob, let me know when those freaking coin machines at the TD Bank is fixed. My son was annoyed they were broken still but was happy soon after chasing the resident PS kids at the 3rd st park
TextperV, Thai Pavillion.

M4L, what Thai place in Astoria?
I LOVE Thai food!
My favorite place is Sripraphai.
DIBS, I might’ve ordered delivery from there (have to check the menu tonight). if true, the place was decent – better than the garbage on Myrtle Ave

yeah those coin machines are always broken. too much riff-raff going in there with dirty sweatsocks filled with rusty pennies.
