Yes, I like house museums but never went there. I have to try that sometime. It doesn’t really qualify for “small” museum but I also love the Cloisters.
Once I was going to Queens for something and I started chatting with an elderly man on the train who asked me “What languages do you speak”? I thought what a cool question to ask. Queens has the most languages spoken in NYC.
“That is so great, that you take people there.”
Yes, I do an uptown day. We hit: St. Johns Cathedral, Columbia, walk thru Harlem, Grant’s Tomb, Hispanic Society, Morris Jumel Mansion, Hamilton Grange (closed now for relocation), Cloisters.
You come to stay with me, you will get no rest and see lots of NYC. Everyone knows to wear comfortable walking shoes when they go out with us.
“My other small museum favorite — Isamu Noguchi museum near Astoria.”
OMG!!!! YES!!!! I love that museum, sadly I haven’t been in a while. I love him.
I’ve never been to Flushing and wouldn’t know how to get there. 🙁
DIBS,
I’m really surprised you haven’t been to Flushing.
catch the 7 train at Grand Central or Times Square and enjoy the ride.
There are some really excellent and authentic restaurants there off Main street. I recently had a great time at a Hot Pot restaurant. There are a couple of indoor mall spaces where you are no longer in New York.

Restaurant Review from this weekend
m4l,
true, Tribeca is usually home to many of the city’s most expensive, multi-star restaurants with super high prices to match.

Dona, do you like house museums?
I love house museums, I’m such a voyeur.
Went to Bartow Pell Mansion in Bronx recently. Liked it so much we took friends there a few weeks later.

I think Israel is pushing the limits here with their actions towards Gaza.
