I’m also very sick today. I don’t know whether it’s a flu or allergies or a combination. I’ve got severe congestion and allergy sneezes that seem to respond to an inhaler but I also have sweats and a bit of a fever off and on.
I did ride the subway to work though at my usual time and touched the poles, rob.
I think I’m beginning to see why I’m out of step with American norms. Forum poster yesterday claimed gas bill went up by $40/month due to dryer. When I pointed out this was impossible, (s)he says its 12-15 loads a week! Aside from my snarky comments about running a guest house, how can anyone spend all that time doing laundry? The 3 or us used to do 3-4/wk.
And I despair of making us sustainable. It’ little excesses like this that make the US the energy hog of the world.
Yesterday’s Law and Order was excellent. I always liked the original Law and Order the best, despite the changes in characters. Was that really the last episode. That part when McCoy is practically having a seizure, he’s so mad at the teacher’s union rep blocking their efforts to stop a shooting spree/bombing in a NYC school — he was AMAZING.
Jeff Goldblum in Criminal Intent??? Awful. OMG, Jeff Goldblum, erstwhile amazing heartthrob is HORRIBLE. I didn’t think it was possible. It’s probably the writing, but that show is the PITS, he looks like he walked off the wrong set somewhere. Lots of weird eye-shifting.
DIBS, I WANT today to be the turn around day. This is UGLY.
I guess it’s easy enough to figure out what looks good on your by just going into any store and trying on a few pairs. I always bring a good friend or BH, just to make sure I’m not buying something dorky — which I’m famous for. : P
You have to know what kind of frame looks good on you, but I’ve always guessed right. Or good enough. Besides,what’s the worse that can happen. You hate them and keep them in your dresser as an emergency second pair?
If you don’t know the measurement btw your eyes (PD), you can walk into any lens crafters kinda place and they’ll measure it for you gratis.

M4L, it’s wild how the Flyers, who beat the Rangers on a shootout in the last game of the regular season (against Lundqvist, no less) to secure the final playoff spot in the East, are going to the finals!

We’re a family of four — two children who get dirty and adults who work out (we get our clothes dirty ) — and we do 3-4 loads a week
Biff, Rangers lack HEART & BALLS. Have to say most Philly sports teams have more heart & balls than most NYC teams
