i had the WORST nightmare last night. i had three dogs and i was like hmmm where has my dog been!? then i found him in a trunk 🙁 barely alive, he must have been locked in the trunk for weeks, skin and bones, crooked neck.. i quickly took him out and fed him kibbles and water. he was fine for a bit and then he started turning on me and i was getting really scared of him. then i found myself at some white trash picnic / bbq and i went into the swimming pool and everyones flesh was falling off their skin. ugh. those are not the kinds of dreams i normally have!
I purchased a straw fedora this past weekend, and wore it for the first time today. I look pretty spiffy, if I say so myself. Of course, it’s a Borsalino. I only trust the Italians when it comes to this type of thing!
CMU: here’s a suggestion for you as to how to make the US more sustainable. You personally can reduce our electricity consumption. Rather than writing long posts (that takes some electricity you know), why don’t you just write the following succint statement every day on the OT: the USA sucks.
“someone who does that many loads is neurotic and too much time on hands or else has couple of babies and does cloth diapers .”
Hmm, yes, my Mom was a clean freak, but…she certainly didn’t have too much time on her hands, she worked full-time and cooked TWO dinners every night. One for us kids, and one for my dad. She ran a load before work and after dinner/before bed.
i’m sneezing and running nose today -allergy I guess.
But if you’re feeling feverish – not so great. I’d take a couple asperin or tylenol and try to get thru the day.
cmu, My mom had three kids and a husband. She ran two loads a day pretty much 7 days a week.
One in the morning, and one at night. I never wore my pajamas twice. We washed our towels after every use. Sheets [and sometimes blankets or comforters] once a week. Dish towels washed daily, too. And as a teenager, well, certain items, mainly jeans HAD to be washed daily. So 15 loads doesn’t sound impossible to me. Maybe a little over the top, but not unreasonable.
Yes, probably energy-hoggish, and I certainly don’t do that now. But I also don’t have machines in my building/apt.

Just took some hot Alka Seltzer cold medicine
DIBS, take aspirin. Drink water. Eat a good lunch and go home early!

how can anyone spend all that time doing laundry?
maybe she’s one of those incontinent types who refuse to wear Depends?
