rib eye is usually the most tasty overall. to power down a massive porterhouse, one might as well bring along some grounded up lipitor and sprinkle it onto steak like seasoning.
rib eye is the round portion cut from a standing rib. NY Strip is porterhouse – a t-bone w/o the small section on the other side to the T. The small section is what becomes a filet.
