the new trains suck ass. im so mad there are new R trains that are like the blue L trains with the crappy limited amount of seating. and where the hell did the handicapped seating go? the new one doesnt have it on both sides, it’s just empty space for people to stand. i hate hate hate hate undemarcated seating because people just spread all out on them and the lack of the perpendicular double seats sucks too!! i know they are made so more people can stand, but the R line is not a crowded line. these trains have essentially halved the available amount of seats. i had to stand up from union street to dekalb!!! and holding onto those dirty poles that are covered in fecal matter because they dont clean the trains anymore. and i refused to sit on the floor because it’s raining out and i dont feel like having soggy butt this morning at work.

interesting read in NYTimes this morning..In science section – about new book/study ‘The Rational Optimist’.
Seems all the doom and gloom, apocolypse books sell but rarely the other side.
Seems like at least 1 person in particular on Brownstoner should read as he is forever predicting end of world.
