tybur6,
yes, I guess in your “wisdom” and “knowledge” you can see through all those silly posts to bombings and cultural desecration.
I suppose you are the type of person that despots and radicals rely on to provide cover while true motives unfurl around them.
too bad there aren’t many like you left in
Iraq,
Iran,
Pakistan,
Syria,
Saudia Arabia.
Expert Texpert: skirt length is my favorite economic indicator. The shorter the skirt, the better the economy (and the stock market) will be in 6 months.
Your observation of band aids around women’s asses is great news and I will pay close attentiion for future developments.
Just took a meaningful position in CSCO LEAP Calls exp Jan 2012.
“Why are there so many radicalized Islamists? It’s because they are suffering poverty and oppression. Why “join” Al Qaeda? Because the provide food and “protection.” This is the same reason many South American and African tribes converted to Christianity… the unethical missionaries would withhold food until you converted. ”
Ty;
You are now proving my point above that started this debate.
This nujob who just tried to blow up Times Square came from a prominent Pakisatni family, and went to good schools. The Ft. Hood terrorist was a doctor. The people who executed 9/11 came from solid middle-class families.
Not only do you have your facts incorrect, but you use every occassion to make another moral equivalence argument. Funny how you don’t have a problem making a sweeping condemnation about Christian missionaries, do you? You don’t have a problem reaching back in history for that fact, do you?
If you look at my original post about Holder, my main point was about the Left’s inability to see this issue with moral clarity. Thank you for so effectively proving my point. Come this November, I think the American people are going to have something to say about it.
“Why are there so many radicalized Islamists? It’s because they are suffering poverty and oppression.’
This is spurious. Times Sq attempted bomber was a middle class accountant in CT and a US citizen. Bin Laden is a multi-millionaire. Most of the 9/11 bombers were from well off families. The 2005 London bombers were all lower middle / upper working class UK citizens who has lived in Yorkshire almost all of their lives…
Don’t see how any of the above could be described as oppressed.
if you read through the tread,
I think I’ve based my assessment on a number of
factual points.
-primary among these is the timing.
-secondary is the “need”
-third is the historical/recent history
which I alluded to.
shall we ask the Muslims setting up the Mosque if
they are indeed attempting to spread the word and world
of Islam by this structure?
I think it is self evident in the size and scope of the
project and it’s location.
why not simply rent a space down the block and off the
WTC footprint if the aim is for tolerance and understanding?
surely this would be a much more humble and meaningful gesture to those americans who lost their lives and families to radical islamists on that date.
legion is smart, no doubt. Legion is also a nice person. Legion is also conflating a bunch of issues here in a somewhat irresponsible way. There are not 12,000,000 muslims hellbent on our destruction
Was just pointing that out to correct the math, not to make a point/counterpoint. Have enough stress thinking about other things right now…
such as bad puns.
“The idea of the Mosque and Community Center is to show that Islam and America can coexist. And, thus, removing some of the motivation to be “radicalized.” BUT, apparently they can’t coexist. However, not because of anything the Muslim Community in New York City did. Rather because folks like you see them in the same light that the Taliban sees Americans.”

Legion, you are still trying to avoid saying what I now see you are in fact saying. Conversation over.
