“ok, here’s one,
who came first
David Lee Roth
or
Sammy Hagar?
lol”
That reminds me:
I was listening to “Stairway to Heaven” on the subway this morning for the first time in like 2 years and misremembered at what part the drums come in.
slopefarm,
and you are framing your counter-argument on a false premise.
I am not attempting to deny the Mosque it’s right to
build there.
I am calling it out on the following:
-Cultural insensitivity to location.
-Scope inconsistent with the solemn and tragic
nature of the site.
-Questionable motives behind the sympolism of
opening a 13 story Mosque on the 10th anniversary
of 9/11.
…and if you don’t think that the image of a 13 story mosque overlooking the pit of the WTC will not be played for full effect by radical islamist recruiters, you too are playing at appeasement.

am pretty sure it was DAVID LEE ROTH
but something in my memory is saying Sammy Hagar was with VH for a short stint, then they hired DLR, then re-hired SH
I’m in agreement that countries with a large Muslim population and the obvious problems that they have with terrorism entrenched within their borders, are not doing enough. These are places like Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan (the obvious ones) but also places like The Philippines and Indonesia.
Since this is a “religious war” and all of the fatwahs, etc have invoked a religious tone, then yes, it is somewhat up to the rest of the practicing Muslim world to lend more support in this instead of turning the blind eye that oftentimes seems so apparent.
If you’re not with us you’re against us and if you’re not part of the solution, then you’re part of the problem.
By the way, has anybody noticed how the US Supreme Court’s make-up (ethnicity, birthplace and ideology) mirrors that of the OT in some ways?
what dibs said at 3:57.
that could have saved us all 5 hours and alot of cursing.
