Do me a favor Wasder! Stand on Washington and Fulton about 6:00 and observe what happens when people get off the train! They go to Met Food to but items for dinner then the go HOME or They go STRAIGHT HOME from the SUBWAY!!!!!!!
of course you can agree with What all you want but would make you as factually incorrect as he is. No blockage of ‘layoffs’ and I think if state wanted they could layoff.
What was blocked is violation of contract and furloughs – which was really just a politcal move by governor(perhaps strategically valid) to pressure for a budget from the legislature. We can all agree on what a mess they are. If budget were already passed – this would not have been proposed.
And when contract is up, probably won’t get any raise for awhile – but that is different issue than best staffing levels. Certainly has happened in other years. I usually don’t bother responding to general anti-labor/union propoganda – but in great economic times these workers don’t get really nice raises or extra bonuses – just the usual inflation %.
