Tax revenue is not dead. The tax *structure* is dead and the legislators are too busy with their thumbs in their bung holes to fix it.
There are appropriate cuts to be made. There are appropriate changes in the tax code that should be made. Across the board flat percentage cuts are the WORST way to manage a budget. It serves no one and hurts the most vulnerable the worst. 20% off someone making $130,000 compared to 20% off someone making $40,000.
