  1. Not ALL NEW construction is poorly built….especially in the case of high rises.
there are codes that need to be followed and materials that are used need to adhere to certain standards, etc.
There are a slew of professionals involved; from the architects, to the engineers (structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.) It’s a zoo of people involved.
To say that the laminate is peeling from the exterior panels is NO indication that the building isn’t structurally sound…or that it’s falling apart.
That ‘paneling’ probably serves no purpose except decorative.

“Hello, manufacturer. Your product is sh*t, replace it with something better, or I will spread word thru the industry that it’s sh*t.”

    End of story.

  2. “some Psychiatrists believe they are inherent to some
    degree in everybody.”

They most certainly are. There is no “pefectly normal” human being. From a full blown psychotic to a mild case of Trichotillomania, everyone has some personality disorder.

  3. “Charles Wang seems like a good guy. He’s done alot for the Long Island communities around the CA headquarters – including donating a buttload of money to SUNY Stony Brook.”

How much money is in a buttload? I assume it depends on the load capacity of the butt?

  4. denton,

    it’s only an objective assessment,
    not a detailed analysis.
If you noticed, I also stated that many great and successful people in history had some measure of personality disorders.
some Psychiatrists believe they are inherent to some
    degree in everybody.

    as far as “clouding judgement”
not a judgement on President Obama’s performance,
just a comment on the condition.
but now that you mention it,
he does seem more sensitive to criticism than
Bush. This may only be his own pro-active strategy
    however.
I really couldn’t say for sure.

  5. Charles Wang also has one of the largest vintage ferrari collections in the world!!!!

His brother Tony has one of the best collections of early American furniture in the country… million dollar pieces.
