M4L — The key to this is sequestering the wood. Left alone, trees eventually die and rot and re-release their carbon. The whole point is to permanently sequester the carbon. Doesn’t matter how you do it as long as the wood doesn’t burn or rot or otherwise release its carbon back into the atmosphere.

Adding to our STP short. Solar stocks are the biggest losers on the problems in Europe and the weakening EUR.
This will be a very short term trade as any rebound in the EUR will lift these shares back up and the short interest is huge.

In fact, loggers who clearcut old-growth forests in the Pacific Northwest and replace them with new stands have done immeasurably more to save the Earth from global warming than all of the prius-driving, “green” condo buying do-gooders combined.
I don’t think they have had the Statue of Liberty for a while. I bought my car in 2004 and the plates don’t have ‘her’ on.
