I always help women carrying stroller (unless I’m carrying something large/heavy) but I am curious because so often I see them do so when there is a working elevator right there. Maybe they don’t see it?

you know why? a lot of times they will decline your offer for help with a surly look and not even a thank you. this has happened to me once before (yes shocking i offered to help bring up a stroller), and ive seen it happen to other people. plus there is the whole liability issue.. what if you drop the baby!? you know youll be sued!
If they used some cops on the subways to enforce etiquette with fines/tickets, they’d generate some serious revenue for this city and give all of us a more comfortable ride that may actually be worth the $2.25
The irony is that if the bomb had (God forbid) gone off the death toll would have been something like:
– 5 Italian tourists with wraparound sunglasses.
– 5 Nigerian sellers of knockoff goods.
– A couple of guys from somewhere in Eastern Europe who draw caricatures for $10 a pop.
– A couple of mexican food delivery guys.
– The Naked Cowboy.
The Japanese tourists would have been protected from the blast by layers of consumer electronics. And the midwestern tourists would have shrapnel pulled out of their layers of fat but would otherwise be OK.

Lechacal, that was so un-pc, but I can’t even lie…I giggled 🙂
“Geez, what happened to respect and civility in society?”–
wasn’t that the Forum post from yesterday from Meme?

ROFLMAO, Snappy. I could practice saying that all day but I am sure I could never do it and get the same effect.
“Funny. At times I’m thinking, “Sister, you could put on all of the makeup in that kit…””
LOL! ENY, I’m imagining you there, with a raised eyebrow and a sardonic smile on your face!
