In other words, would you rather live in a world where Iran has the biggest military budget, bases all over the world and detention centers to match?
Think about the difference.
As far as I’ve seen, we haven’t seen protestors shot dead
by the government in the streets with a shut down of communications as they have recently done in Iran.
Would I love to live in DisneyLand? sure, but even then
we’d have a roller coaster run off the tracks into the crowd once in a while.

‘as aligned with’…it’s a matter of degree, of course I’m NOT comparing us to Stalin, Mao or other mass murderers. But we do plenty of bad things for a nation which gets on its high horse about democracy, the right way to live, etc.
Who has the largest military budget? Who has bases all over the world? Who runs more detention centers than anyone else? Not colonialism, eh?
