NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Federal prosecutors are looking into whether to charge Goldman Sachs Group Inc. or its employees with criminal securities fraud, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
Two weeks ago, the SEC charged Goldman Sachs and one of its vice presidents with defrauding investors, alleging they misstated and omitted key facts about a financial product related to subprime mortgages.
