  1. Biff, the Europa DIBS mentioned has a salad preparation bar, not a per pound salad self-service bar, however, inside 601 Lexington (f/k/a Citigroup Center or 153 E. 53rd St.), in the lower area of the atrium there’s a per pound salad bar called Cucina. It’s quite extensive and offers hot and cold stuff, upscale stuff, not so upscale stuff, etc. It’s very popular and sometimes very good.

chicken, what that woman said was actually “bigoted” though. don’t you agree?????”

Not at all – some of the media clips are focussing on her immigration question but that was only a small fraction of her time with Brown.

Even if the immigration point was all that she brought up, her comments were not (in my opinion) bigotted at all. She is a working class woman from an area (not to far away from where I grew up) that has been blighted by economic and social poverty over the last 20-30 years and she wants to know what his plans are to fix it.

For this, she gets a dismissive insult, not even spoken to her face, followed by a slimey apology once he was rumbled. He’s not sorry he said it at all, he’s just sorry that he got caught.

  3. “For those that care about the UK election, Gordon Brown has fooked up big time.”

Yes, he was faltering already but this probably seals it.

I think I dislike the LibDems even more, though. They already represent the area where I grew up (& where my parents still lived until last week).

If I were voting there it would be Conservative or UKIP depending on the seat / who the candidates were.

  4. Turkey on Honey Whole Wheat is what I am having but what I really want is A BALIADA… A tortilla stuffed with refried beans, salvadorean sour cream, and maybe some egg whites… I would also like some tres leches for dessert….
