  1. Thanks for the source, Legion. Looks legit to me.

“it is not fair to ask who paid for Octamom’s 12 kids,
who the father is, if she is even fit for parenthood and what effects her irresponsibility will have on her children.”

Are you kidding me? Half of the media stories were about these very issues. I agree she has attained silly celeb status, but to say that these questions haven’t been raised is inaccurate.

  2. And, I’m totally in favor of the Sugar (Beverage) Tax. People should not be drinking that crap anyway. people have a right to an income and a right to own property. The taxes there have gotten out of hand.

  3. Legion- again from the extremist end of the Republican party. Obama is not anti-Israel. take it from a Jew who is pro-Israel. As for his comments on AZ- little history wouldn’t kill you. But why not focus on the real issue instead of trying to throw up a smoke screen. The government is looking into the constitutionality of the new law. That is the actual basis for his argument. Honestly.

Obviously the civil war isn’t over- the Republicans still want to party like its 1860

  4. lechacal, I almost entirely agree with your 3pm.

Farm subsidies, tort reform, and junk food yes. Don’t know enough about patent protections to opine.

I’m in favor of health care / health insurance reform, though not in the fashion just passed (in which I fall into the group of individual policy holders who will pay more than I already do and get less in return).

Though wildly unpopular, we also have to greatly reign in Medicare, Medicaid, and that third rail holy grail social security. And prolly will have to raise taxes, too. Just wonder when the pols (excluding the guy who thinks Guam will capsize) will wake up to the magnitude of the reality that faces us.

  5. Big gov’t?
“…some pretty basic history: the banks imploded while Republicans held Congress and the White House; President George W. Bush started the rescue; many Republicans voted for the bailouts; and they stabilized a financial system that was perilously close to collapse.”
    Editorial in today’s Times.

  6. Legion, you and I and the other Federalists can meet sometime at bauman’s rare Books around the corner from my office and see all the great stuff they have..
