I went to the Flea on Saturday, TWICE actually, (enduring what DIBS so poetically described as an experience somewhere between bedbugs and VD) looking for the taxidermist who was selling stuffed and mounted squirrel heads.
This vendor was prominently featured on Friday’s brownstoner complete with mounted squirrel head and HE WAS NOT THERE.
I am quite annoyed by this, but he has partially made up for this by his incendiary articles and headlines posted today.

Hi Everyone
I have to say I think “express trains” are sorta BS
I’ve done my own testing
I take the R train at union Street and get off at 59th and 5th avenue and it takes me about 35 mins in total
when I take the R train at union, I get off at Atlantic and wait for the N to 59th and 5th or the D to bring me to 47-50 it still takes about 27 mins in total due to wait time for either train
so by my calculations am saving 8 mins and having to stand most of the way – WHOOOPPPEEEEE
BH, yes, but since some would say Brooklyn Heights has more cachet (at least it did until Biff was allowed in), brokers and property owners often falsely market Cobble Hill properties as “Brooklyn Heights”, including my building, for example, which is on the south side of the Mason-Dixon line.
The NY Post should win a Pulitizer for its continuing coverage of overpaid civil servants:
Today it’s the PA officer making $264,000 per year on a no show job because he’s buddy buddy with the PA Sergeants union boss. Seems their “contract” allows for overtime hours in service of the union while getting paid by the PA for a now show job.
Nice.
…it’s not so much about the union as much as it’s about the idea that somewhere, the bureaucrats found tax payer money to pay these workers like Cardiologists and there are MANY of these state/city workers being paid like Cardiologists.
…and yeah, the tax payer bail outs of the banks should be paid back. after that, they can pay their workers what they want as long as it’s not tax money. The problem exists at both ends,a feeding trough for everyone.
…a good place to look for aliens
is Saturn’s moon Titan, it has methane oceans on it’s surface.

8 minutes off a 35 minute trip is 22% faster, no?
“Brooklyn Heights has more cachet ” — cachet not so sure but definitely has more sachet.
There’s a thread discussing a new restaurant called Buka.
So if the owner gets locked out, does he/she have to call a locksmith and request a Buka key?
