I thought squirrels would be the last thing you would be looking for, dead or alive. You making a shrine?
Well, I think it would be pretty funny. But it would probably make me a little sick after a while, so maybe it wasn’t a big thing. You have to admit, those pictures of a mounted squirrel head were pretty funny.
Re: Squirrel taxidermist, he may have been chased off by the local chapter of PETA, but they would have had to have been there early. I walked up there first thing Saturday.
Re the Flea, it seems to be big on
1) Food
2) Vintage clothing
3) Vintage and craft jewelry
What I really look for and don’t find is: interesting ceramics, dishes, small pieces of interesting and not expensive furniture, mirrors, prints/pictures/paintings.
There used to be a GREAT vendor, Bloom Antiques, which sold great prints, paintings, dynamite stuff. I got some watercolors from him, which were cheap and amazing. Alas, not there anymore. Also, I bought some cast iron planters from another guy which were great. I live nearby and I walk through it fast and alas, not what I am interested in….

you’d think he’d opt for Park Slope.

Ganymede was Zeus’ boy-lover. He now lives in Kensington.
