I just did a fact check on your factcheck.org
article.
the article states that people are being mislead about the idea that congress is exempt from the new healthcare plans. it states that senators and congress will have to take up the new health plans instituted by the signed Healthcare reform bill.
In fact, the requirement for congressmen and women to utilize the new healthcare plans was introduced by republicans repeatedly, and redefined or rebuffed repeatedly by democrats. general consensus is that the senators and congress will still keep their “gold” healthcare plan.
What was / is the purpose of making health insurance coverage compulsory, rather than just universally available?
Is it to expand the insurance pool? Or on the assumption those wh otherwise chose to be uninsured would get treatment anyway, and so should not get it for free? To subsidize the insurers? Or something else I can’t think of?
I don’t think so, DIBS. [According to the attendee lists this morning.]

Genuine Question, not trying to make a point:

Is it to expand the insurance pool? Or on the assumption those wh otherwise chose to be uninsured would get treatment anyway, and so should not get it for free? To subsidize the insurers? Or something else I can’t think of?

See who offers you a dinner jacket next time, BoerumHill 😛
Was there something in my post that suggested it was directed at anyone in particular?
I predict “I’m putting you on ignore” will become a hot catch phrase around here.
Is DitmasSnark coming tonight?
