Hey, don’t we get any credit for writing up the Bed Stuy fraud post 😉
We were mulling over whether to write up the Bushwick post but already had so much stuff in the pipeline and then the kids came downstairs and we had to start making them breakfast and the window of opportunity closed. We agree it’s an interesting story. Classic What move to read in some Dr. Evil agenda into the fact that it’s only in the Daily Links…Good times.
I just got back from a haircut. The best part, as always, is the shampoo and head massage from the young, handsome, non-union Japanese guy of indeterminate sexual orientation.
The What is right. Bushwick is as much Brownstone Brooklyn as Bed Stuy or Crown Heights. Demographically the same, architecturally the same. If you got brownstones, as does Williamsburg, PLG, Sunset Park and Bay Ridge, you’re technically in Brownstone Brooklyn.

What;
I’m not moving the goalposts. I’m talking the realities of real estate. Demographics define neighborhoods as much as building type and location.
What is defined as “Park Slope” today is alot different than what it was 30 years ago.
There are sections of EastNY and Bensonhurst that have older-type rowhouses, but no one is going to start calling them part of Brownstone Brooklyn.
Hey DIBS,
You planning on trading in your rowhouse for a place here? http://ph.ly/gn
Hell no. I’m headed for bushwick. i hear it’s really gentrified but starting to slip.

“By “Brownstone Brooklyn”, I was referring to a demographic, not a building type.”
Nice try but epic FAIL on the backpedal.
