All of us that actually work at the non-union level have had some form of cut back or give back, whether it be increased health care costs, loss of some retirement benefits , etc, etc, etc. This sense of entitlement by the unions and the egregious, insane and asinine work rules are just way out of line.
Do any of you remember years ago when the MTA told the train operators that they would be conducting tests of safe operating procedures and the union balked at any such tests?? For Christ’s sake, they TOLD them they were going to do them over a certain period of time. They should never have told them should have done them and should have taken action.
It’s amazing to me, the amount of anger towards unions from people with high paying jobs!
If you were a factory worker or a doorman or other union employee, me thinks you might be singing a different tune!
