oh I don’t know, I had this funny notion in my mind that the National Organization for WOMEN was all about empowering WOMEN.
Legion, I don’t think NOW is going to endorse someone who does not share their views on core issues, even if that person is a woman, and to suggest it should is….bizarre. I think you’ve got that stethoscope on too tight, buddy.
Emergency services stopped routing ambulances to St. V’s as of this a.m. It’s really too bad. Years ago it was a lousy hospital but has improved greatly since the early 80s & is a real plus for the community. Poor management & spending beyond their means are responsible as I understand it.
I am not necessarily a burkah lover but if a woman in this country wants to wear one, it’s her right, no matter what you or I think about it.
eny,
sure they have the right to wear a burkha,
but why would a woman wear one in the United States of America?
It is not required by the Quaran. It is only required by repressive, male-centric societies.
So let’s get this straight,
Sarah Palin bad for America; speaks her mind, governs her state wears what she wants.
but, burkha on a woman is ok.
yes, that makes alot of sense for this nation. lol.
how about Sarah Palin in a Burkha running for office, I think she’d get twice as many votes; the conservatives and the liberals.
I’m Baaaa-aaack!
Re-cap please.
…come to think of it,
maybe a burkha is the solution to my concerns for
littlegirllegion.
seems like a viable alternative to the expense of an all
girls religious school for her teenage years. 😉
It’s a friday afternoon. Can we discuss something less tedious???
Whatever happened to Horror Show friday???
donatella,
apparently, your views are inconsistent with the DNC and NOW platforms.
hey,
really, I’d love to continue my “silly” talk,
but I have tickets to tonight’s Rangers/Flyers game.
Good seats too,
maybe I’ll make mrs.legion wear the burkha tonight,
just to get used to the idea.
have a good weekend everyone.

Why does anyone care what NOW thinks anyway?
I don’t. I think they have an inconsistent, incongruent philosophy and I am pro-life but that doesn’t dignify Sarah Palin in my book.
