Oh, Etson, dear Etson, you’ve lost me! What does “absoloute level of S.S. payments” mean? Also not sure what you mean by “for to it be used purely as a welfare system rather than the weird hybrid that it is now.”
Snappy, I just meant that the absolute level of S.S. payments seems high (certainly in relation to what I know of other countries). Also meant that I’d rather have lower S.S. taxes and for to it be used purely as a welfare system rather than the weird hybrid that it is now.
Shouldn’t whine too much as I don’t have to pay it right now (I did for 11 years). Income cap on Canada Pension Plan contributions is less than half that for S.S. which is useful!

i tested this yesterday – i saw our buddy *Rob* across the platform of the Prince St R station. He was reading his book. So i just stared him down – he eventually looked up and looked across the platform – voila!!
yeah ahhahah. i thought you commuted by bike dipster? that happens sometimes… like you know someone across the platform? what is the social protocol? nod? wave? i was gonna wave but figured that would look really gay. shout?
And the big stores; Ikea, Target, etc.; out in the ‘burbs are much bigger with wider aisles and aren’t overrun with Hipsters, Asshats and Strollers. Making for a much more pleasant shopping experience.
oh good lord, dipster are you seriously thinking about decorating your new apartment with stuff from ikea and west elm!? :-/ please reconsider that nonsense.

Your notebook is correct, sir (madam).
Cool. You coming to Loki on 22nd?
Yeah, that locale works better than the original plan (forgetting what it was, but some nabe/intersection I have never been within a county mile of).
LOOKing forward to SEEing and CHATting with everyone (but TOUCHing…maybe not so much).
TextperV, you’re going to the Jersey ikea in elizabeth (2% sales tax)?

I dunno Legion – that looks like it might be delicious if you throw it in a pot of boiling water and poor some liquid butter on it!!
