I think dibs and jackal are wistfully referring to the joys of a world that is no more. Now they can only remember and dream. Asshat Hill has somehow joined the ranks of Weimar Berlin, Atlantis, Woodstock, 1870 Paris Commune, Florence under the Medicis, the gold-rich 11th century kingdoms of Mali, etc., in these sad men’s’ eyes. The rest of us just have no idea and can only imagine what it was like to have been there.
