  1. What, that clip was indeed classic. Thanks. And I do enjoy hearing about your youthful exploits in the city. Somehow I would imagine that most of us can relate to being slightly broke but having some weed and a few good friends to cruise the city with.

  2. I have never baited you, What. I was serious about YouTube.

    It may interest you to know that many of the hipsters you deplore are also nostalgic for 1970s New York.

    That is funny about the reefer on Fulton St. I remember even Palo Alto was cheap and free wheeling back then. It wasn’t just New York.

  3. Yeah Cobblehiller those was the days. I remembered we would go to 42nd St see a movie and get wasted! After that it was the Gyro place on 8th Ave and then on to the Game rooms on Broadway! 3:00 in the morning zonked out playing Pacman! Laughing our asses off and not a care in the world… Someone que Archie Bunker please..

    The What (Those were the dayyyyyyyyy ssssssssss (Edith Bunker).

  4. Oh, so that’s why my Pratt friends always had good stuff! We got the good stuff from the trust fund baby in Park Slope who’s dealer OWED HIM money or we’d pinch it from somebody’s Dad!! LOL!!! Cobble Hill was FULL of potheads back then…trust me on that! ; )

    I haven’t smoked in years but I love to remember it!

    cobble *I inhaled* hiller

  5. “Are you calling me a pothead What! ; )”

    Well Cobblehiller Fulton St. Between Bedford and Frankin Aves in the 70′ and 80’s was know for some of the best weed in New York. Every store front sold drugs and that suff was really good .I put it to my lips but I never inhaled.. ; ^ }

  6. “John Johnson was a baby! Storm, too! I was having a time warp/flashbacks…and this bubbled to the surface: A friend and I used to smoke a little something and listen to this…and it’s still great!”

    Yeah Cobblehiller the JJ Jr Afro is funny but those were the days, As Archie Bunker would say.

    Ah Stanley Clarke! I remember the weed heads would vibe off of him. When WRVR shut down in 1979 you could see all the Potheads weeping in the streets, LMAO.

    “What…I don’t get the significance of the WABC 1977 clip.”

    And sad enough Dave, you never will. That was for REAL New Yorkers, not for Retards…
