  2. Not so fast, Arkady. it’s not clear to us that rob actually knows the correct meaning of “cauterize.”

    People haven’t been cauterizing in these parts since my brownstone was new.

  3. Arkady, Snappy tried to wriggle out of going to The Duplex tomorrow, but I convinced her after “suggesting” that if she could make it to Staten Island and Queens in the course of the last week, she could certainly make it to the West Village.

  4. oh maybe charterize is the right word. basically i wanted the cheese on the pizza to be super burntlike crisp.. so i guess cauterize and charterize are appropriate, tho i thought cauterization was only used as a term when it involves acid and lazers (of the medical variety)
