Well, how do you think I feel Cobble??? Many of my relatives were born in the Austro-Hungarian Empire!! I’ll require footnotes and asterisks (and maps, charts and timelines) to explain.
For example, my maternal grandmother: **Born in present-day Poland, at the time known as Austria-Hungary, but part of Germany 1939-1945.
lechacal…always funny, those sort of interviews. but to be fair, about 25% of them sounded like they weren’t Americans!!
i try to ignore knowing or caring about the ethnicities im made of as i come from a long long long line of total white trash.

It’s going to get even more complicated when I have to spell out/hyphenate: 2 ethnicities, 2 continents, 8 countries and 3 religions!!
