again,
we can go all day digging up the ridiculous nuts on both sides of the aisle,
until you realize that there is no group with a monopoly on stupidity, you will continue to be angry at half of your fellow citizens.
Legion- and how about Faux news and Rush Limbaugh and all the other loudly braying ultra right wingers. Wnat to know the difference between those Bush protestors and the tea baggers. It should be obvious that anyone carrying that “I’m here to kill Bush” sign is a political protester. I think anyone calling for the assassination of a president is an a**hole but the anger of those protests were intense political theater. Racism, antisemitism, the overthrow of government- that’s not political theater. And those signs don’t justify or make what the tea baggers are doing, right. 2 wrongs are still 2 wrongs.
bxgrl,
would those banners and death threats and ridiculous statements appear anything like these that were a constant background during the Bush years?
the generalization I made is proven by the fact that you want to apply this same tactic to discredit what I am telling you about your fellow Americans with legitimate concerns about this government. Is it really a generalization that I am making when it is used routinely by such organizations as NBC and the DailyKos and Media Matters and so on.
ET- you simply must stop trying to do good things.
FYI, legion- I started this because I felt sorry for pete who was a MAJOR thread killer- if you look at the times 🙂
