  1. I wouldn’t say My Sweet Lord is either secular or generally spiritual. It’s pretty specifically Hindu-derived, not surprising for George Harrison. In fact, it echoes Arjuna’s plea to Krshna in the Bhagavad Gita to reveal his true divine nature (“I really want to see you Lord”).

    Hm, my lord (hallelujah)
My, my, my lord (hare krishna)
    My sweet lord (hare krishna)
    My sweet lord (krishna krishna)
    My lord (hare hare)
    Hm, hm (gurur brahma)
    Hm, hm (gurur vishnu)
    Hm, hm (gurur devo)
    Hm, hm (maheshwara)
    My sweet lord (gurur sakshaat)
    My sweet lord (parabrahma)
My, my, my lord (tasmayi shree)
My, my, my, my lord (guruve namah)
    My sweet lord (hare rama)

  2. Thanks for tiny URL tips, everyone.

Another vouch/vote for Pam Real Thai (or whatever the order is) – she has two places IIRC, like one on 49th and another on 48th (both just west of 9th Ave). Always trust a fat chef.

  3. Mr. B was a former Wall Streeter? Fascinating. I also know he’s 1) a hipster, 2) has kids, 3) lives in Clinton Hill, and 4) hates recessed lights and exposed brick. I would not have guessed he’s a Wall Street refugee.
