Sun peeped through for a moment & made the backyard sparkle – bee-yoo-tee-ful!
Shoveled for 4 – a neighbor who often does mine, next door other side where they’ve taken in 3 Haitian teens & have had health problems (unrelated to teens) & elderly woman from Barbados w/ bad back. Feeling exhilarated!
Now have to refill feeders.
Biff, the 13 yr old. kid next door is out there shoveling in a haphazard kind of i-don’t-really-know-how-to-do-this-but-my-dad-made-me way. And the folks are super wealthy. I was kind of glad to see it. I had to shovel quite a bit larger area when I was growing up.
I see you signed up the little ones for the
toddler-yoga-in-the snow classes too. 😉
M4L,
I remember them filming Donnie Brasco around 8th Ave.
in Park Slope and I know that Dog Day Afternoon was filmed almost entirely off the traffic circle next to Farrell’s bar, is that Windsor Terrace? Al Pacino likes Brooklyn, so maybe you’ll get a glimpse.
The back yard looks amazing. It was fun this morning shoveling off the steps but at the moment it was all for naught. One of the poor backyard kitties braved the snow to come get dinner- poor thing. He so obviously hated every snowflake with a passion.
“Biff, you shoveled b4 going to work? Or you making the champs earn their allowance?”
M4L, kids in Brownstone Brooklyn are spoiled and not expected to do any house chores. They’re already overscheduled with fun activities they choose to do to which they are chauffered around by overprotective and overindulgent parents. Haven’t you learned anything?

Tell that kid to try shoveling a giant driveway in Toronto for a few decades of winters and then get back to me…
🙂

bxgrl, Visitor kitty keeps asking me to open the back door to the deck. She walks up, sniffs the screen and then RUNS LIKE HELL! LOL!!
