  1. I realize I’m talking to myself here, but just want to add that I stopped at Holler & Squall at 71 Atlantic (between Hicks & the BQE) on my way back. 11217, if you’re lurking, I went to the antiques store you love and recommended. Really nice, eclectic stuff. Met one of the owners, Zach, a really nice guy. And I recommend it too.

And then I brought my Super hot chocolate since he’s been out shoveling all morning.

  2. It will come as no surprise to anyone here that I’m a total idiot. I had all week to run errands, but, naturally I waited until the last minute. So today is the day I decide to go to One Brooklyn Bridge Park to inquire about parking. Rather than walk down Joralemon, I walk down Atlantic. Past Hicks, the sidewalks aren’t plowed, but I trudge on, through snow banks up to my chest, and when I get to Furman Street the sidewalks leading to 1BBP aren’t plowed either!! For what they’re paying, I’d want plowed sidewalks. The good news is that the manager (really nice guy named Hector) was there today, and that I’m going to save $150 / month on parking!!

  3. Attention Team Snappy (Regulars and Alternates):

Just got back from feeding the Snappy cats with Denton. Turns out Snappy forgot about her fish!!! There’s a fish on the bookshelf in her bedroom. (OK, there WAS a fish in the bedroom, but now I can’t remember if Denton or I put the “top” on the tank, so there may NOT be a fish if Pia realizes the top is off.) Anyway, Denton added desperately needed water to the fish bowl, and fed the fish, which was VERY hungry.

  4. Biff, if the Henry Street house was asking just a little less, it would actually be perfect. Just enough space for CDog and me. But I don’t think it will go for less than $5 million, and I’m afraid that’s my ceiling.

OTOH, I love Grace Court, and hopefully I can convince Dave to stop and check out that OH on Sunday. I like the broker, too – I saw a couple of her listings at 187 Hicks. I wish there was a floor plan though.

  5. ok – what’s it doing out there now?
of course mid-town is like another world where if you look down at the street it’s like it never snowed

am thinking of leaving work early at 3pm and hitting the gym

  6. bxgrl,
I’m gonna call papiLegion later and let him know how many
people agree with him on brownstoner.
Hopefully, before he hangs up on me! 😉

…my spelling sucks even in Spanish,
substitute papi for popi up there^^.

    random,useless bit of information;

PAPI was a movie with Alan Arkin,
where he plays a Puerto Rican man
in the Bronx with two kids,
to make a better life for them
he plans a hoax where he places them
on a boat to act like Cuban refugees
    from Castro. Funny and touching.
