Biff, I’ve wondered the same thing, especially with your client/banker analogy. I don’t think they understand that they are part of the “service” industry.
Speaking of doctors, while I have great respect for them, why the heck do they always make patients sit in a waiting room for at least 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment time before them? Even when one is the first or second appointment of the day. It’s pretty crazy. Imagine if I had a bank or client meeting and all the bankers and/or clients were in a conference room and I made them sit for an hour before going to speak with them. Yesterday I was the only one in the waiting room and was there for an hour. Finally a woman came and got me and took me to one of the rooms and asked me all the info. Then the doctor graced me with his presence for 30 seconds. And rather than ask me what the issue was, he asked the woman right in front of me. Would it have killed him to just ask me directly and spent one more minute of his time talking to me? Bizarre.
I’ve had that happen too, Biff, it’s infuriating. I’m on time for my appt., why can’t they be??!!
Legion, explain please, on behalf of your fellow Drs.
ROFL, Rob, imagining you as a whale with:
“some crazy chick with a whale fetish … sitting on my back and rubbing all up on me trying to give me eskimo kisses….”
getting a little silly….i so want to go home….

Rob,
they do unless they want their little ones stoned.
Legion, I want a second opinion! 🙂

Sort of Rob, they use Dimetapp…ask any parent they’ll tell you how wonderful it is.
