If your CSA is like ours, you get some great stuff, but also a lot of turnips in the spring and fall. Hope you like ’em. If you get garlic scapes, just broil them. Yum.

I wish. The photo was part of a shoot that my friend did of my bike. A mutual friend liked the picture and used it for the website.

that’s because I was closer to the camera than the bike!
It’s really doing my head in now. I’m trying to find an article I read once about a watchmaker who is considered the “ultimate” by watch afficianados – it’s a brand that you have never heard of and it’s one guy (who spent most of his career at Audemar Piguet) who hand makes almost every single part.
I was thinking of joining the Williamsburg/Greenpoint CSA this summer. They basically ship down a bunch of locally grown fruits/veggies every week. Problem is – one share is way too much for one person – anyone wanna go halvsies?

Chicken, you’re lucky your wife allows you to splurge a little before getting her the dream house. wife got me on lock down on spending till AFTER she gets her house. Did have to give her a strong push-back & warning when she tried to take my rolex $$$ for cousin. Hey, I’m a pushover most of the time but even she knows when I mean business and backs off
