  1. So, yesterday I floated the idea of meeting up for a beer late tomorrow afternoon. Noki suggested meeting in the Slope someplace with a pool table, although her plans to be in the area were not yet certain, as of yesterday. Anyone else up for this? We could do the pool hall at 7th & Flatbush or I think Loki Lounge at 5th Ave and either 1st or 2nd St has a pool table. Meet at maybe 5 or 6? What say you?

  2. I think “streptococcus” can also be used as a verb. i think I’ve done it more than a number of times.

I liked benson’s jingle. i don’t think he meant harm. When he means harm, you’ll know it!!!!

  3. DH/Kens, any thoughts on what to do with two relatively naive women in their early 20s who are in town for the weekend and gung ho to go out and have a good time?

Send them our way Biffo. DH and I promise to take good care of them (Def. Hetero).

  4. I once had an altercation with a really nasty IRS agent at the Austin office that was hit yesterday. Mr. Wood, I believe, was his name, though I don’t know if he’s one of the missing (though I’m holding out hope). The IRS cashed my check, but lost my return, which I didn’t know until some time later when I got a threatening collection letter for non-filing; turns out it takes the IRS like 90 days to process returns. Mr. Wood acknowledged that it is IRS policy NOT to cash a check unaccompanied by a return, and so he conceded that the IRS had to have received my return, but still there was nothing that he could do about it, and so he threatened to freeze my accounts and seize my assets if I didn’t file my return. Catch-22 much? It happens that I lived nowhere near Austin and didn’t own a small plane at that time, but I totally understand the frustration of the guy who flew his plane into the IRS offices yesterday, though admittedly his reaction was a bit extreme.

That’s tough – probably some combo of:
    – shopping
    – eating overpriced salads
    – drinking fruity cocktails
