  1. Right. And you think these people have any concept that this means them? And that they would be willing to make such cuts?
    Take a look at the polls, benson. You just haven’t got the numbers to support this.

    And no, I have never watched Glenn Beck. Can’t do it. I am AWARE of him, I know to some extent what he has to say, but watch him? No. It would be like reading Anne Coulter. Makes my teeth hurt just to think of it.

  2. “The head policeman was absolutely joyous that they busted him with his d**k in hand”

    Ahhh, NOW I know why they refer to that cop as “head policeman”.

    LOL!!!

  3. Noki, I TRUST you mean Sarah Palin, NOT bxgrl!!

    As my favorite Republican Joe Scarborough said about Sarah Palin last week, I really liked her when she gave her convention speech and for about a week afterwards, but, since then, every time she opens her mouth, I think less and less of her. “Hopey, changey” was the death knell for her ever to be taken seriously, IMO and which is apparently what most Republicans are REALLY saying about her.

  4. Oh, regarding Sarah Palin, I think she is a very balanced person — has a chip on both shoulders. She is a heat-seeking missle out there looking for insults. I thought that it was amazing that she took personally and attacked Rahm Emanuel for referring to some group as “retarded”.

  5. DIBS, Apolo Ohno is going to be featured on NBC’s olympics coverage tonight. Safe to say you’ll be tuned in?

    Biff, I’ll be out to dinner with Xing tonight at Jolie.

    But it will be a toss up and I think I’d prefer to watch the finals on American Idol and see whether the Korean guy from IL and the two beaners make it!!!!!!!

  6. “Most of them would leap out of their skins if one were to even suggest a decrease in the services they have come to expect – all run and paid for courtesy THE GOVERNMENT – or if one were to suggest enormous reductions in spending in Medicare, Social Security and the military”

    Noki;

    Have you ever watched Glenn Beck, who is probably the most in touch with the Tea Party movement?

    His primary mesage is that if we are to return to fiscal discipline, we are going to have to cut these programs. One of his phrases is “If our grandparents could tighten their belt and get through the depression, we can do it”.
