When I was a kid, munching on Captain Crunch, my father used to eat 2 large Shredded Wheats, which were about 2″x4″. He used to crumble them in the bowl, add bananas and milk and wolf them down. My brother and I were horrified. We thought the stuff was hay.
My Mom was a coffee and toast person, she never ate cereal. In the winter, we also ate a lot of Maypo hot cereal, or Cream of Wheat.
Maybe. I suggested telling people who get off the train at Borough Hall, that once they reach the street, to walk with/in the direction of the traffic flow on Court. It seems to help.
Nothing compares to Eggs benedict with shaved truffle or caviar on top.
That was it Cobble!! Thanks. You’d think I would’ve remembered that. Clearly I had too much sugar as a kid and look what it did to my brain.
Love Cinnamon Toast. The toast, not the cereal.
Shredded Wheat was just called that until they came up w/ Frosted. I hated it. Kix or Cheerios.
Reading the label, Cap’n Crunch has only 150 calories, including the milk for one serving. Much better than 500 calories or so for a buttered bagel.
12g of sugar per serving. I don’t know what that means but assumes it’s a lot.

Trix! How could I have forgotten!?
“Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids!!”
Trix Balls, Biff? Are they the homo variety, or merely the Canadian variety?
Is Cap’n Crunch sweetened? Or is it just like corn? Nowadays I mix high fiber cereal with Crispix or something.
