“Just seems like most of the scorn heaped on the terrible union workers comes from those making well above the national average for employees. I am by no means saying you shouldn’t make that money, not saying you don’t deserve that money, hell, not saying you aren’t worth more. I wish I was making that money. But why begrudge the average, honest worker who is only doing what you are doing, trying to get ahead by making an honest wage? Just sayin'”
Montrose;
I’m back for a minute.
If you look at my posts, I didn’t heap scorn on union workers. I heaped scorn on public-service unions, and the UFT in particular. The brunt of my criticism was how the UFT controls politics in this state to block educational reform. I ask those who think I am being too harsh on the UFT to answer this question straight up, with no rhetorical blink of the eyes: “What do you think of the UFT’s recent successful effort to block $700 million dollars in educational aid from the federal government, which was conditioned on an increase in the number of charter schools”?
By the way, if you think I hate all things Obama, I’d like to point out that I think he is doing good work in the area of education reform.
Finally, I agree that Sarah Palin is being ridiculous on this issue.
We bought a new server with a tape drive and I’d like to get some backup SW that will work with the tape drive (yeah, we use Mozypro also but we like to be redundant).
Out network guy wants us to use Symantec backup exec 12.5 but it’s almost $700. Plus I hate their software in general.

As long as I live on this earth, I don’t think I’ll ever figure out how men think!

This is more likely an issue of not being able to figure out how the process of thinking itself works.
Any corporate IT types hanging around today?
