btw, you keep alluding to President Obama’s economic policy being sound (probably because you’ve been reading too much of Stiglitz and Krugman).
If these Kensyeans were so smart, don’t you think they’d be holding up Japan and the Soviet Union as models of government spending for the benefit of the economy. And if they were so smart as the BS nobel committee would have us all believe, they would’ve seen the economic collapse coming a mile away.
Legion- the budget is huge and complicated and while we are all concerned with the deficit (including Obama and Democrats), if you are worried about all the things you posted above, how do you think less will be more? The world is more dangerous and complicated than it ever was before- everything about it today would make mincemeat of Reaganomics. We are not being realistic to keep hanging onto the idea of small vs big government. For good or bad it is what it is and there is no way to go back. With the polarization we have now, and our messy state/fed way of governing, I don’t see how we will ever be able to clarify who we are or what we need to do. Too many cooks.
P.S. The Projected deficits have zero to do with Obama (his portion of the debt sits at 1 trillion) and has everything to do with the policies of the last 8 years combined with the fact that America is now going to need to become a lot “leaner” as we move forward.

11217,
you aren’t seriously suggesting that the projected deficits or budget/GDP ratios (which will approach 100% or greater) in the coming years have nothing to do with President Obama’s policies?
Again the blame game, Nixon inherited the vietnam war from Johnson and Kennedy, he got out. He didn’t sit around blaming his predecessors, nor did Truman, he inherited a World War in April of 1945, by August he decided to drop two bombs. He didn’t vacillate or blame FDR for the troubles handed to him.
the projected blow out budgets and deficits are under the President’s direction. They are not Bush’s any longer, any more than Reagan’s problems were Carter’s in 1982.
If I’m not mistaken, View From the Bridge is often discussed in tandem with On the Waterfront in the context of the 1950s HUAC & McCarthy hearings. Kazan testified and named names, Miller did not, and they broke, in part, over the depiction of informing in the two works. Both works have an obvious merit and power that transcends that issue, however.
Kens- dunno where they’ll be. I’m guessing Miami since they’ll start filming soon (so they said on the Today show this morn.)
I think they should send them to Boca.
I’d love to see JWoww and Snooki give Ethyl and Bernice makeovers and PaulyD and The Situation taking Artie and Schlomo out for GTL. LOL
I’m due in mid March. I’m actually feeling a little better now that she’s got less room. I described it to my husband this way- Before when she had plenty of room when she’d move it felt like a few pairs of sneakers in a dryer. A lot of banging and smashing around, it felt like she was denting the drum. Now she’s got less space so it feels like a load of towels being tossed about. Lots of swooshing and rolling but no pangs and banging about.
Keynesians,
that should read.
yeah, as I’ve said before, my spelling is suckish.
Too low, DIBS.
Tell me……How much is an average hook-up for you and then I’ll guess. I have the calculaator ready.
