The main issue (and I am NOT advocating this as a child-rearing method) is that the current generation of children and young adults have generally not lived through any period of war or hardship. It’s no coincidence that they have a sense of entitlement.
i think all these parent groups are doing an actual disservice to their children. am i the only one who thinks the children growing up today are going to really really mad annoying as adults!? i for one, do not wanna be putting up with them in the years to come.

rob, it’s been goiung on now for a few decades. Children aren’t properly taught and punished anymore and they grow into self absorbed adults and write blogs and live in Park Slope and their life revolves around making trouble for others even as mundane as in the PS Food coop. You know who they are. you see them evryday.
“It would pain me to see that done to them. They are very verbal, and usually just demanding that they come stand in front of me while I give them ‘the look’ and a ‘talking to’ about their behavior is enough to chill them out.

I just count to 3 in a stern voice. I’ve never actually got there so I’m not sure what I would do – closest I’ve been is 2 and 14/15ths….

And Asians are supposed to be good in Math!
Hey Short Person…there’s something in your inbox.
Sorry to do that, all.
no – 15/16ths comes after 14/15ths, and is closely followed by 16/17ths

“14/15ths….”
Is that a fraction in Chinese?
In America, the closest would be 15/16ths
“And for the record I have never ever spanked any of the short people in my life.”
It’s true. Cobble never spanks me. She leaves that to ET.
MM,
I agree. I left HS early (i.e. quit) and never looked back. Hasn’t hurt me in one bit. Next year I’ll be starting on my PhD.
