OK, maybe you folks can help me out. Two questions:
1. I’m planning to be there tomorrow at Exit the King. I am low carb at the moment so beer and even wine are out. But for 20 years my alky drink consumption has been limited to beer, wine and the very occasional mojito. I want something very simple to order that isn’t a shot and won’t make me sound too stupid with the bartender or make me look to stupid in front of you all, and is actually an enjoyable thing to drink. What is a reasonable, plain drink I can order? Something classic, sufficiently plain and with nothing sweet in it. What do all you experienced drinkers suggest?
2. My parents have a bunch of slide carousels and want to make space. Anyone convert slides to jpegs with a reasonable resolution? Did you use a service or buy a scanner? What service did you use? What level resolution should I insist upon?
if you don’t specify, they usually give you whatever house vodka they got but Grey Goose tastes soooo damn good in mixed drinks.
